Wendy O.  Williams – “Ain’t none of your business” live at Camden Palace Theatre, London on 1st October 1985

Lyrics by Wendy O. Williams:

Ain’t here to tell, so get a grip
I ain’t really what you think
I ain’t guilty or innocent
Don’t play a fool, don’t turn your back
You ask me why, well listen Jack!
You’d better practise what you preach
‘Cause there ain’t nothing you can teach me
Won’t wear a target on my back
I don’t stand for no third degree
I don’t care what you think of me
I do as I like, I’ll do as I please, don’t ask me why

They go to church, they go to school
(Ain’t none of your business!)
But I ain’t nobody’s fool
(Ain’t none of your business!)
May go right, may go wrong
(Ain’t none of your business!)
I may sing a different song
(Ain’t none of your business!)

Don’t try to label who I am
One thing you’ll never understand
Just keep your thoughts to yourself
Don’t play a fool, don’t turn your back
You ask me why, well listen Jack
I’ll do as I like, I’ll do as I please, don’t ask me why

Bite off more than I can chew
(Ain’t none of your business!)
Don’t tell me what to do
(Ain’t none of your business!)

They go to church, they go to school
(Ain’t none of your business!)
But I ain’t nobody’s fool
(Ain’t none of your business!)
They rule the world, they sell it whole
(Ain’t none of your business!)
They socialise, they live a lie
(Ain’t none of your business!)

Lyrics by Lou Reed

Shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather
Whiplash girlchild in the dark
Comes in bells, your servant, don’t forsake him
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart

Downy sins of streetlight fancies
Chase the costumes she shall wear
Ermine furs adorn the imperious
Severin, Severin awaits you there

I am tired, I am weary
I could sleep for a thousand years
A thousand dreams that would awake me
Different colors made of tears

Kiss the boot of shiny, shiny leather
Shiny leather in the dark
Tongue of thongs, the belt that does await you
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart

Severin, Severin, speak so slightly
Severin, down on your bended knee
Taste the whip, in love not given lightly
Taste the whip, now plead for me

I am tired, I am weary
I could sleep for a thousand years
A thousand dreams that would awake me
Different colors made of tears

Shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather
Whiplash girlchild in the dark
Severin, your servant comes in bells, please don’t forsake him
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart

Almost end of the year time to look back.

I’m not gonna post a top 100 records of 2017 list as I frankly am not in the mood this year but if I would than Adore Delano’s “Whatever” would have made the list.

Edit because of Asks: My fav tracks are “27 Club” and “Witch Hunt”.

Finally a record that channels, Grunge,

Riot grrrl, and pop punk, not the same old electro (dance/pop) stuff we are so used to from the rpdr/peg artists.

Part of me hoped that Sharon Needles would be the one after the very promising take on Ministry’s “Every Day is Halloween” on her debut record “PG-13″ but it was Mimi Imfurst’s “The Fire” in 2016 who snatched that trophy.

Sadly only the 2 covers are real killers on that record (”Genocide Peroxide” from “Boy George’s Taboo”  and “Wicked Little Town“ from “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”).

Sharon’s “Battle Axe” is sadly just more of the same that I already have heard on “PG-13″ and “Taxidermy“. Still smart, still clever and full of references that most people will never get but frankly her take on Jingle Bells was a hell of a lot more fun than the entire record.

Edit: To be clear here, “Battle Axe” is a good record that deserves to be listened to.

I love the Deadpool, Bob Ross Trailer and the official description is almost as good.

“After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste.

Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
