Lyrics
You bastardised my intellect
Castrated our conviction
You are desperately seeking Satan
Now that you’ve burned
Your bridges down
You plagiarised and parodied
The magic of our meaning
You can’t admit that you’re wrong
The spirit is dead and gone
You don’t bother me
You are history
A legend in our own mind
Left all your friends behind
No one seems to care
And Satan is not there
There’s nothing left to boast
Time to give upthe ghost
You are desperately seeking Satan
Black magic has
Turned to dust
It’s time to put
The thing to rest
You can’t admit that you’re wrong
The spirit is dead and gone
It’s this damn time of the year again when everyone I care about feels like this
Type O Negative – “Gravitational Constant: G = 6.67 x 10⁻⁸ cm⁻³ gm⁻¹ sec⁻²” from 1991s “
Slow, Deep And Hard“
lyrics by Peter Steele
[a. Unjustifiable Existence]
One two three four
I don’t wanna live no more
Well I’ve got no more reason to live
And I’ve got no more love to give
Tonight’s the night
I’ll paint the town red
I’ll put another whole through my head
Unjustifiable existence
Unjustifiable
Unjustifiable existence
Unjustifiable existence
Now I feel the weight of a world on my back
I’ve seen the future
The future looks black
It’s what I must do
I have no reservations
Ain’t talk ‘bout self preservation
Unjustifiable existence
Unjustifiable
Unjustifiable existence
Unjustifiable existence
Gravity
Crushing me
Gravity
Crushing me
Crushing me
Crushing me
[b. Acceleration (due to gravity) – 980cm^-2 sec]
Yeah I feel something pulling me down
Forcing me between myself and the ground
Of all the nightmares that ever came true
I think that gravity (gravity-gravity) is you
Unjustifiable existence
Unjustifiable
Unjustifiable existence
Unjustifiable existence
Gravity
Crushing me
Gravity
Crushing me
Crushing me
Crushing me
[c. Antimatter: Electromechanical Psychedelicosis]
[d. Requiem for a Souless Man]
I’ve got a problem
A problem with hate
I can’t go on dragging this weight
A cold steel hand that won’t let go
Acid-filled thoughts out of control
I built myself a nice little cage
With bars of anger and a lock of rage
I can’t help asking Who’s got the key?
When I know damned well it’s me
No I ain’t hinting for sympathy
I’m used to dealing with apathy
The scars on my wrists may seem like a crime
Just wish me better luck next time
So what if I died a thousand deaths
You think I’m insane but I have no regrets
One more time won’t matter no question
Suicide is self expression.
I’m just getting into 90’s music and wonder if there is a band you would request that is amazing that I and other late borns probably don’t know about.
I think you mean “recommend”…
Oh well there were so many but a clear standout for me is Devin Townsend‘s
The lineup Included Devin on Vocals, Guitar and pretty much anything else on the first record and he added
Jed Simon on guitar,
Byron Stroud on bass,
and Gene Hoglan on drums from the second one onwards.
Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing (1995) and City (1997) are two records that no collection should miss out on.
Also No Sleep ‘till Bedtime (1998) is in my opinion still one of the best live records of all times.
Here’s the video for “S.Y.L.” from Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing
Because right now I can’t be on ´my feet for more than 2 hours let alone were proper shoes…
Demented Are Go! – “High Heels” from 1999s “Hellucifernation“
lyrics
High heels comin’ back in fashion
High heels gonna stamp on your face
High heels comin’ back in fashion
High heels they’re all the rage
High heels
High heels
High heels
High heels clicking down the pavement
High heels comin’ down the street
High heels strutting down the sidewalk
High heels walk over me
High heels comin’ back in fashion
High heels they’re all the rage
High heels comin’ back in fashion
High heels stamp on your face
Six inch heels and fishnet stockings
Eight foot whore i roam the streets
If you hear my high heels a clackin’
You’d better run from me
High heels comin’ back in fashion
High heels they’re all the rage
High heels ain’t no gary glitter
High heels gonna stamp on your face
