Supreme Court asked by anti-LGBTI hate group to mandate transgender student segregation

projectqueer:

The ADF is considered a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Founded by 30 far-right Christians, the ADF has a history of claiming the ‘homosexual agenda’ will destroy society. They have also supported the state-sanctioned sterilization of trans people abroad. Additionally, they fight for ‘religious liberty’ laws that allow for discrimination against the LGBTI community

Earlier this year, the ADF alleged a 5-year-old at an elementary school was assaulted by a genderfluid student in the bathroom. This claim led to Trump’s Education Department, led by Betsy DeVos, to investigate the matter.

Sai Shoki (Choe Seung-hui): vintage 7×9 news service photo dated 4 November 1938.

This photo was used to promote Korean Dancer Sai Shoki’s debut in America.  At the time several rumors were circulating about Sai, including that she was the daughter of a Korean Nobleman.  Sai’s ethnicity is given as both Korean and Japanese, because she was born in Korea in 1911, while Korea was under Japanese occupation.

Hey, @staff, let’s talk about these shitty spam posts that keep showing up in various tags and being recommended but you aren’t doing much about. A few common qualities of these posts:

Always a link to another Tumblr without any text.

A whole mess of tags that are frequently unrelated to each other:

A bunch of likes and zero reblogs:

And all in a pretty short period of time:

Not shown: if you go to one of these blogs, all of their posts are like this. If you check out the blogs who liked the post, all of their posts are like this, too. Now, I’m no fancy computer genius, but if you’re spinning up some shitty not program to delete blogs, why the fuck isn’t someone programming them to go after these pretty easily identifiable spamblogs that are sending porn spam to theoretically SFW tags, instead of booting sex worker blogs who actually interact with their followers?

Just wondering, @staff. Just a suggestion.

Justice Department Asks Supreme Court to Enforce Trump’s Failed Trans Military Ban

projectqueer:

On Friday, the DOJ urged SCOTUS to hear an “immediate review” of cases regarding President Trump’s attempt to ban trans people from serving openly in the military. The White House unveiled a policy in March saying individuals with a history of gender dysphoria are barred from enlistment “except under certain limited circumstances.”

Prior to that announcement, Trump claimed in a July 2017 tweetstorm that transgender inclusion in the military results in “tremendous medical costs and disruption.”
